From the beginning!!!!

Hello Everyone!

We left on Tuesday morning at about 10 a.m. and drove to Evansville, IN to visit our friends Patty & Al Williams. Patty and I went to high school together. We are really good and old friends! We had a blast while there. They took us to see French Lick, IN and to see the West Baden Springs Hotel, frenchlick.com it was a large restored hotel and very beautiful, if you are ever this way, check it out!

We left Indiana on Friday and arrived in Cahokia, IL just outside of St. Louis, MO. We are in the Cahokia RV Parque, la te da!!! It is a nice park with a great Bar-B-Q restaurant, we ate there last night and they had the best chicken wings. There are lots of "Carney" people here. Apparently this is a base town for them and they go out to other towns to set up their carnivals. It is quite interesting!

We also weathered some tornado watches last night, we were very blessed that we only had rain and some wind. Today and the remainder of the week is supposed to be cooler and sunny! :)

We are planning on going to see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis this morning and spending one more night and then heading to Kansas City, KS Sunday morning to visit some friends, Rita & Larry Jansen, some of you may know them from church.

Sorry this post is so long, but I thought I would update everyone on our travels.

Happy trails to all.
Donna & Jim
