We started off at the Ft. Niobrara Wildlife Refuge today. It is nice and cool at 60 degrees a good change from 93 degrees yesterday. Never saw a sign like this one before! This is the site of a frontier fort that was active from 1879-1906 and was used as a calvary remount station till 1911.

We drove for 3.5 miles around the refuge where the buffalo roam free and it was a cloudy day!

These are the cutest little prairie dogs and they are every where, just running all over the place. Prairie Dogtown.

The buffalo are a amazing and so big, they weigh 2,000 pounds each. That's a lot-a-buffalo!
