Going to East Glacier 6-13-2009

A huge bald eagle is about to land!!!! He was a sculpture, but was still amazing.
It is hard to see but that is a mountain goat, the little white spec about half way
in the picture.

These are some mountain goats and their babies, click on the picture and you
should be able to see them better. This is Bear Grass. I read where the bear don't
eat it, the elk, deer, and sheep eat it. Meriwether Lewis is said to have named this
Bear Grass, no one knows why. I guess he thought it reminded him of a bear! Someone
told me it only blooms every five years, how true that is I don't know, but it was very
facinating to see. I grew along the roadside.
